Bogdan Dumitrache was born in Bucharest. While still in high school, he decided he wanted to pursue an acting career. He was admitted to the National University of Theatre and Cinema Art, which he graduated in 1999, in the class of Mircea Albulescu, one of the most notable Romanian actors.
